“It was great that the talk had been adjusted to respond to the situation that the teenagers now face – a long summer with hopefully some celebrations, but potentially dangerous celebrations where the teenagers will want to ‘let their hair down’ but there is likely to be a lack of supervision and support from professionals, that would have been present at summer festivals. The students heard about a huge range of key issues – from contraception to misuse of drugs in a relatively short amount of time, all delivered and pitched perfectly for them. The use of Menti made it interactive and engaging throughout. It was interesting as a teacher to see how they responded to some of the questions and gave us a greater awareness of how the pupils are feeling and an idea of their knowledge of these kinds of issues. So, it was insightful for staff as well as pupils.”
